GP Rating course is a 6 months residential Pre-sea training that you can pursue right after completing matriculation.

The course is designed to cover all major topics related to the DNS Sponsorship industry and includes topics such as Navigation, Ship Maintenance, and Cargo Operations etc. Students get to learn both theoretical and practical aspects of Nautical Technology in this course.

This is a 4 year strictly residential under-graduate program where students are prepared with skills related to marine engineering. It is a course leading to Class IV B.E. in Marine Engineering Officer Certificate of Competency (COC), awarded by the Ministry of Shipping (Government of India), after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Navy ships anywhere in the world.
In B. Tech. Marine Engineering course, the students are educated in various methods and technologies used in maintenance and construction of harbors, ships etc. It mostly deals with ship mechanism and other sea structures, ships and vehicles. B.E. in Marine Engineering is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all major mechanical and engineered equipment on board a ship like the propulsion mechanics, electricity and power generation system, lubrication, fuel systems, water distillation, lighting and air conditioning system etc.

Qualification: The Candidate must qualify any one of the following education criteria to qualify:
Medical Fitness: Physically fit and should meet the medical requirements as specified by DG Shipping guidelines.

Graduate Marine Engineering is a 12 month conversion course targeted at mechanical engineering and naval architecture graduates who wish to pursue a career in marine engineering. The course is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India.
The course commences twice a year, in the months of April and October. On successfully completing the 12 month residential course, a candidate undergoes six months of on-ship training. After this, he is awarded Class IV Marine Engineering Certificate of Competency (COC), and is eligible to work on merchant navy ships anywhere in the world.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification: Candidate should have passed B.E. /B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture from an AICTE or UGC approved institute wth minimum 50% marks in the final year. Additionally he/she should have obtained at least 50% marks in English in 10th, 12th or Degree Examination.
Medical Fitness: Candidate should be medically fit as per the standards set by M. S. Medical Examination Rules, 2000.
Eye Sight: Candidates have to qualify a full eyesight test conducted by the DG Shipping approved medical doctor before being finally selected for the course. Maximum permissible tolerance is + 2.5 on each eye. Candidates with color blindness are not eligible.
Electro Technical Officer Sponsorship recognized as ETO is a 17 weeks residential course for graduates of select streams to assist them to join Merchant Navy industry as Electro Technical Officers. The course is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India.
The course commences four times in a year in the months of March, June, August and November every year. Electro Technical Officer Sponsorship are accountable for ensuring safe operations of all electronic and electrical equipment.

Qualification:
Category 1: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in the English Language at 10th or 12th standard exam.
Passed three year’s Diploma with 60% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.
Category 2:Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in the English Language at 10th or 12th standard exam.
